About

Greener Pastures Art & Film (GPAF) is a Seattle-based arts business under the Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) Finding Gnomes Creative Collective. We are an evolving, creative venture providing select and growing services for local actors, creators, and filmmakers.

While not exclusive, the spirit of GPAF was created out of the desire to create a better life (aka greener pastures) later in life or a second career by being able to express and tell stories through filmmaking.

After college in my early twenties, I had a profound, energetic experience that in its essence guided me to pursue acting, something I had wanted to do, but decided to get a communications degree instead. Since then, and after a period of about 25 years of raising a family and working other jobs, I decided to come back to my creative pursuits. I continue to study the craft of acting, have written several short screen plays, acted in a feature film, several shorts, and a few commercials.

Through this business and community, I'm developing more relationships and opportunities for myself and others to tell our stories and impact the world in positive ways.

As an actor and budding filmmaker, myself, I saw the need to provide economical ways to screen films, help actors film
and edit their self-tapes, provide graphic design services for film posters and promotion, and offer classes & workshops to
support creatives.

Grants for future film projects! Greener Pastures Art & Film will collect 10% of all business proceeds into a GP Grant Fund to help local filmmakers fund their projects!

We are Sarah Elizabeth Rankin, a local actor, writer, director, producer, and filmmaker & Michael Chikamura, a local graphic designer, art director, and producer.
